Compensation: Equity + Revenue Share + Project-Based Earnings

About the Role

As a Product Designer at Applinet Technology, you will lead the design direction for Android, iOS, Desktop, and Web platforms. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and founders to design beautiful, functional, and culturally intuitive digital experiences.

This is a partnership role, meaning you are joining the founding team and contributing to the long-term vision of Applinet. You will share in the company's growth, impact, and success.

 

Key Responsibilities

UX & Product Strategy

• Understand user needs, business goals, and cultural dynamics.

• Conduct user research, interviews, competitor analysis, and usability tests.

• Develop user journeys, wireframes, flows, and product logic.

UI Design & Visual Excellence

• Create stunning, modern interfaces for:

  • Android (Material Design)

  • iOS (Human Interface Guidelines)

  • Web (Responsive UI)

  • Desktop Software

• Build high-fidelity prototypes using Figma or similar tools.

• Ensure design consistency across all platforms.

Design System & Collaboration

• Build and maintain a scalable design system for Applinet products.

• Work closely with developers to ensure smooth implementation.

• Translate UX concepts into accurate designs and design tokens.

Cross-company Design Leadership

• Lead design decisions across multiple products under Applinet (e-commerce, social media, AI platforms, payments, and more).

• Provide guidance, creative direction, and design leadership.

• Participate in product planning and strategic growth discussions.

 

Who We Are Looking For

An experienced designer who is:

• Innovative, detail-oriented, and user-centered

• Skilled in both UX and UI

• Comfortable designing across multiple platforms

• Able to communicate ideas clearly

• Passionate about building African-focused solutions

• Open to long-term collaboration and shared success

• Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision

 

 Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in Product Design

• Strong portfolio of mobile, web, or desktop apps

• Proficiency in Figma (required)

• Knowledge of Material Design & iOS design principles

• Experience with user research and usability testing

• Ability to create design systems and component libraries

• Experience working with developers and product managers

• Familiarity with prototyping tools like Framer or ProtoPie (optional)
